Difference between normal poplar glued boards and carbonised version:
1. Carbonised panels are much less likely to warp, cup, or twist compared to raw poplar panels.
2. Carbonised Poplar wood turns a rich, toasted brown that mimics exotic hardwoods like walnut or teak. Because this colour change happens all the way through the board, you can sand it or cut it without losing the dark hue.
3. Carbonised poplar is significantly more resistant to rot and wood-boring insects than standard poplar boards.
